Comprised of a rounded crown block seated on a wide brim block, with original leather trim nailed to the brim edge. Workshop numbers stamped into the wood (3 / 64 / 461) indicate a size 64 European hat (approx. 7⅞ US), consistent with French or Italian professional millinery practice. The turned wood pedestal base is likely a later addition and detaches from the block.
